Kaldi’s Goats
Young boys still herd their goats in Ethiopia’s highlands where the young herder Kaldi is said to have discovered the stimulating properties of coffee. He observed its effects on his goats sometime around the year 850AD. Kaldi then informed a local monastery from whence it spread across the world.
