“Mentorship” Tapestry – 50×61″

An imageillustrating mentorship. The mentor, the figure on the left, melds into a large, old tree. Her extensive roots stretch deep into the ground, her torso becoming the trunk. On the right, the learner’s roots slowly begin to form from her feet, weaving in between the mentor’s roots. A fern grows out of her back, its tendrils reaching out to absorb the elder’s wisdom.
