This poster features words from Elizabeth Gurley Flynn. Flynn was a feminist, unionist, and leader of the Industrial Workers of the World. “History has a long range perspective. It ultimately passes stern judgement on tyrants and vindicates those who fought, suffered, were imprisoned and died for human freedom, against political oppression and economic slavery.”
She spoke the truth. We can’t remember the names of most petty tyrants. But we honor those who resisted and rebelled.
