Protect our endangered newspaper workers! Part of a retro series of “endangered workers” posters from the 90s.
The text reads: The newspaper environment hosts a great variety of workers including reporters, copy editors, clericals, printers, drivers, and delivery people. A feeding frenzy of mergers has concentrated ownership in ever-fewer hands resulting in downsizing on the shop floor and blandness on the page. A fierce anti-union offensive has drawn battle lines against workers determined to defend stable, living-wage jobs.
