The ongoing pandemic of 2020 is producing heightened levels of anxiety about health, finances, social isolation and politics, conditions ripe for domestic violence as people are forced to shelter in place with their actual or potential abusers. Organizations and advocates supporting victims/survivors of abuse are rising to face new challenges. This is a poster that can be displayed anywhere someone might need a lifeline (workplace, school, laundry room, public restroom, service center, front lawn, street, apartment lobby…)
If you are being harmed or threatened, or if you are, or might, hurt someone: You can reach out.
Reach out to someone you trust – Make a safety plan – Contact a domestic violence hotline if you safely can, or have a friend do it (You can tell them if you don’t want police called). You are not alone!
