New Deal Anniversary

I created this poster for the St. Paul Friends of the Public Library on the 75th anniversary of the New Deal.  It also marked the 10th year of their annual Untold Stories educational series on labor history.

The New Deal refers to a series of progressive programs enacted in the U.S. in 1933. The illustrations show examples of how the New Deal especially benefited artists, the unemployed and the elderly. Public works projects helped pull people out of poverty during the Great Depression.
